New - the Nuntala School playground project and a new school:-

Not far from Phuleli, beautifully situated high in the mountains, is the neighbouring village of Nuntala. Once a busy stopping place on the Everest trail from Jiri, it is now by-passed with many of the Everest treks flying into the Tensing-Hilary Airport at Lukla. The school in Nuntala is where many of our trekking friends in Nepal were educated. INET raised funds to allow the land surrounding the school to be leveled and cleared to make way for a new playing and sports field. All the work is carried out by hand because there are no roads or any motorised vehicles. Much of the labour is voluntary. Just imagine shifting boulders like these without a JCB. A new school is on the way - watch this space! New - the Children’s House in Phuleli:-

Following completion of the new school Bal Vatika, Dhana and INET set their eyes on refurbishing a nearby disused building and converting it into a school room and children’s house. Work commenced during the summer months and it is now complete. The external finish is up to the usual very high standard as shown in the photograph. Inside, the classroom is excellent and local children are now enjoying this additional school facility alongside Bal Vatika. New - INET’s Annual Art Exhibition and Sale from December 8th to December 20th 2008:-

Ercus Stewart SC and INET are pleased to announce that the annual fundraising art exhibition held at The Distillery Building, Church Street, Dublin 7 raised more than €4,500. We would like to thank everyone who came along and enjoyed the paintings and photographs.
